Conference site and accessibility

- The check in and info desk will be in room MG2 00.10
(ground level). - There is free WiFi available on the whole campus:
- @BayernWLAN:
- guest access (with youth protection).
- Eduroam:
- use the account from your institution.
- There are power sockets (Type F, CEE 7/3, 230 V, 50 Hz) in most rooms (→venue). CEE 7/4 and 7/7 “Schuko”, 7/16 Europlugs, and 7/17 plugs work.
- All rooms are wheelchair accessible.
(The conference dinner restaurant unfortunately is not) - The conference rooms have induction loops for hearing aids.
Please contact the session chairs to remind the speakers to remember to use the microphone.
Giving a talk
- You have 20 minutes for your presentation, followed by 10 minutes question and answers.
- The chair will not introduce you in detail, if you wish you can introduce yourself as part of your presentation.
- Please be at your presentation room 15 minutes before the session starts, so you can coordinate with the session chair.
- You can bring your own device (laptop) to present your talk. We can provide HDMI and USB-C, for other sockets please bring your own adapters.
- Or you can bring your presentation on an USB stick in the following file formats:
- MS PowerPoint (pptx)
- LibreOffice Impress (odp)
- You can also upload your presentation as a resource to pretalx, in addition to your abstract, if you are comfortable with your slides being publicly available.
Poster presentation
- The posters will be on display throughout the whole conference in the break room, so please put up your poster when you arrive at the conference.
- Please be available at your poster for questions during the poster session (Thursday 1100–1230).
- The maximum dimensions for posters are 95 cm wide and 130 cm high.
This means ISO A0, ANSI E or Arch E/Arch 6 (all in portrait mode) will work fine.
Chairing a session
(see also Giving a Talk)
- You don't need to introduce the speakers in detail, just announce their talk.
- After each talk (20 minutes) you lead the discussion (10 minutes).
- Find further information about the talks and speakers from your session in the conference programme↗. Clicking on a specific talk gives you the abstract and a short bio.
- There will be helpers from the conference available during the session.
Abstracts
- You can access the abstracts of all talks in the conference programme.
- Please note that you can update your abstract in preparation of the conference if necessary and provide or update the extended abstract as a pdf if you want to include further images and/or references, until Sep. 18.
- We also plan to compile a book of abstracts (talks and posters) as PDF.
Logos
- The Spatial Humanities logo in various file formats: Spatial_Humanities-Logo.zip
- If you wish you can use the logo in your presentation or poster, but you are not required to use it.
Conference Dinner
The conference dinner is at the Schlenkala, Dominikanerstrasse 6.
